Got this guy today. Never expected to see a weird one like this, but I'm glad he showed up. About fifteen minutes after daylight had a big doe come through, then a good eight that I'd have shot had he presented an opportunity.

Next, a couple more does and a six point, then this guy showed up at the giant scrape downhill from my stand. I watched him work it and the branch for five minutes before he drifted out of sight. I'd catch glimpses of him 75 yards out, then he left. Five minutes later, he walked straight to me and turned broadside at 30 yards. I dropped him right there, then started shaking.

He looks to be a 4.5-5.5 year old non typical 10 point. It almost looks like a small rack grew inside his rack. Very unique. The bases are as big as a small glass coke bottle.

Thompson Center Omega 50 cal, 240 grain Hornady XTP and 100 grains of Blackhorn 209.

I'd almost given up hunting for this year, just too much on my mind. I'm glad I didn't.
Cool lookin deer. Congrats 🇺🇸

Very unique rack. I love a non-typical rack. I've never understood why the B&C folks and others mark them down and discount the size for stuff like that. I think they oughta get extra points for uniqueness!
I think they're pretty neat too! It's just super rare for me to see one. I killed a buck last year that I believe was related to this one, and the second heaviest bodied buck I've killed at over 200 pounds, but he didn't have the "junk" that this one had.

Just seeing this one was a treat!
