It’s all perspective I guess. I was born and raised in NC and moved to TN with my wife 16 years ago. I thought the same thing about TN. Nobody seemed to hunt as much here as they did where I come from in NC. Between my family land, and all my buddy’s being farmers, my hardest decision was where i wanted to hunt. To this day, when we go back for the holidays or to visit, I don’t have enough time to hunt and see all the places I’d like to hunt. We grew up running deer hounds and speaking of culture, it’s crazy to see everything from jacked up trucks to low riders with dog boxes and meeting up there’s black guys just as hard core as we were and they welcomed us to run dogs with them no differently than we welcomed them. As for Sunday hunting, when I moved to TN, it just felt weird to hunt in a Sunday. I’m not against it, I hunt on Sunday, but when you spend 25 years hunting and Sunday being off limits, it takes some getting used to. We didn’t miss it because we never hunted on sundays. Actually, when they started talking about opening Sunday hunting up on private land, we were like, “well $h!t, how are gonna get a break from hunting”. Haha. We hunted 4-5 days a week so we welcomed sundays to recoup.
