This is an interesting one out of my collection. This rare jewel reads 68-1 on the yoke but I believe it to be a 681. I believe SMITH stamped it incorrectly because the model 68 was only made in .38. I love information and if I'm wrong please reach out and let me know

You are correct, that's a mis stamped L-Frame 681. The 68-1 was a .38 made from a 66 K-frame and was only made in 6".
