Opening morning we set up on a field we had been scouting and was very promising and had our opening morning double by 7:30 Sunday morning we got on some bad henned up birds (6+ strutters and close to 70 hens) that were spending their day in a really large wheat field. Stayed on them from fly down until we had to leave for Easter. Monday morning started of exciting but soon turned to silence being persistent paid off around 11 when a group got fired up. They gobbled hard and gobbled a lot by 11:45 we had our second double of the season. Monday afternoon my brother inlaw and a freind came in from Louisiana so we went back after the big wheat field birds which ended with a swing and a miss! This morning we tried a new farm and got in tight on some loud mouth birds that gobbled good on the limb and all the way to the gun! The sun was just coming up as we were getting our stuff picked up and I snapped a picture after a little adjusting it turned out AWESOME!
