She was in the tree line I'm pretty sure. Just awfully late in the year

I saw a similar one a week or so ago. Still in full spots, but winter coat coming in made it look really shaggy

Being that you're in east TN, much better chances of survival than if it was in middle or west TN. We have ZERO acorns and not much browse. The deer and squirrels will be struggling. Man has it been dry

The acorn status has been kind of weird. Some of the areas I hunt, you can't walk around without stepping on acorns. A couple of other areas not so much.
