I haven't shot the old girl in quite some time and had to load me up a few rounds the day before. The rifle is a single shot model 75 C. Sharps Arms. The rear sight is a hunter's peep tang mounted while the front globe sight held a cross hair insert. I actually am not real fond of the the cross hair style and much favor a post but that is what I had so naturally had to go with it. I would be shooting sitting on a 5 gallon bucket with the appropriate cross sticks to match. The morning temps were what I'd describe as "fresh" with a 10+ mph wind blowing right to left. At 50 yards the target was in a full sun but when I moved out to 100 the target was in a good deal of varying shade and light which made it more challenging shooting with iron sights. You can notice the shadows in some of the pics. Anyway, my load was 41 grains 2fg GOEX Old Eynsford black powder, 215M Federal primer, .015 card ward and a 250 grain Lyman cast bullet lubed with their BP lube. Without the chrono I'm guessing the velocity at maybe 1300 fps. After dialing it in, the bottom six shots made for a decent group at fifty yards. At 100 I felt the lighting gave me difficulties but I guess the group could be described as "minute of deer".
