It was in heavy cover, and just over a rise, so I couldn't see it. At that point, I kept on with the same chatter and over the hill came 8 hens and 2 longbeards in full strut. They were shuffling along and staying close together. I tried everything to get em to break strut, but it wasn't happening this morning. Finally this one separated from the flock enough that I was able to get a clean shot. It was a nice morning, and way differnt than most of my succesful turkey hunts. Average 2 year old. Nothing special and a little light, but he'll eat alright.</p></blockquote><p></p>
