Got back home last night around 8PM. Long day! Saw a LOT of deer, including one buck I probably wouldn't have passed in TN, but nothing that was big enough to make you not worry about "what other deer are out here". Case in point: After my brother tagged that buck above, he decided to doe hunt the last 2 days. 10 minutes before daylight Monday night, he had to watch the biggest buck of his life walk through the edge of a wheat field at 200 yards. He said that there were too many points to count at the distance, but it was 12+ with a noticeable drop tine on one side. I asked him if it was bigger than the deer I killed last year and he said "it wasn't even close". Ooof. We had a few more people at camp this year, and it ended up being a great trip. I still have 1 buck tag left, and the season runs for 2 more weeks. Can't say I'm not tempted.
