Back in Oklahoma hunting a couple of ranches the next 5 days. Obviously, I got spoiled last year and killed my biggest buck to date 7 minutes into legal shooting light on day 1. It was a 12 point that rough scored 156". (See profile pic). It's beautiful country and the rut is definitely on. Yesterday, we saw 12 deer just glassing from camp. There are some trail cam pics of some monsters in the area. One of them would likely push 180". There's so much land out here, it feels like the possibilities are endless. Unfortunately it's very windy this morning and sightings have been very low. But the weather is going to improve over the next few days. Ive moved into a wheat field this morning that's just off of a thicket. The farthest trees straight out in front are 787 yards, but I don't imagine I'd take a shot like that. I'll post updates as they happen.
