Dee and I thought that we would try to give a little report on our camping locations so that others may enjoy. We have benn going this summer about every other weekend and would just like to share our view points on where we stay and what we think of the facalities. Hope it helps some to get out and enjoy. New River State Park located in Ache Co. North Carolina off old Hwy 221. Dee and I spent a long weekend at this new facality, at the new RV Park. It just opened in July and its known for its wonderful canoeing and beautiful river. Let me say the fishing is good too. The sites are large and flat with full hook-ups. I recommend you make a reservation. They also have alot of tent sites right by the river if you like to tent camp. The park host were real nice and helpful. The bathrooms large,clean and hot water. Our rating for the Park 1 thru 5 would have to be 4. This is well worth a trip.
