At 29 yrs old I went on my first duck hunt. I'm a deer guy 365, a buddy from work invited me for a duck hunt at Reelfoot. So went and purchased my duck stamp and clean the ol turkey gun for the mornings hunt. We got in early and I learned how the ducks behaved to a duck vlind, what "workin ducks" were and traveling ducks. IT was neat how the ducks would circle and come on in, however we did not have much action. The 3 of us shot twice and killed 1 mallard. We packed it up around 12. THE guy that took me said it was the slowest he'd seen all year. DESPITE the lack of action it was fun not having to sit still and quiet and just hangout. I'd definitely go again
