I am only a couple years into turkey hunting. I have a Mossberg 835 with a factory choke.
I want to invest in a choke without breaking the bank. Can you guys recommend a choke (size & brand) and what shells you prefer.

Thanks in advance

A 660 is pretty tight for an 835. Kicks are great chokes for that gun in the 670 range. I thought Roost1 had one for sale on here at some point

Primos Jellyhead .690 with MagBlends has been my best performer. Second for me was the stock .695 Ultimag choke with Magblends. I'm speaking for my 22" barrel and 26" barrel 935s. My 26" didn't like Kick's GT at all.

I have a 835 with a 26" barrel and after $300 in chokes and various ammo the combo that worked best in mine was a TruGlo SSX .670 and HeviShot 3" magblends--178 pellets in a 10" circle @40 yds with no gaps in the pattern. Admittedly, I did polish the barrel and it did make a slight difference in the pattern, in number and coverage.
