Miami couple sentenced to prison for exporting stolen outboard engines to Mexico

Hundreds of boat engines were stolen in Southwest Florida and shipped illegally through Miami to Mexico.

600 outboards to Mexico is a pretty big deal. The article says most were Yamahas. Supposedly there is $420,000 set aside for victims, so if you know someone that had one stolen, they might have a shot at getting some money.

Amazing there were so easily able to do this, sending hundreds of stolen motors to Mexico, getting paid, and going so long before being caught.

And the "known" 600 doesn't include the "unknown" ones.
