Went down to Guntersville for the day. Got back home, backed my boat in to the shed, and unhooked it. Something seemed off. The trailer wasn't sitting the way it usually does. I chalked it up to being tired and walked around the back to plug in the charger. Well.. I found the problem! My wheel was gone! Hub and everything! I never even knew it came off! I talked to BassCat, and they said they've had issues with those hubs after about 5 years (and they stopped using them). Mine are 4 years old. The hubs are Dexter Vault. They're sealed, so they don't require maintenance (supposedly). Apparently the hub just crapped out. I'm lucky it didn't cause a wreck for me or anyone else! As for the fishing... I didn't get on them. The water in the creek where I put in was really dirty (Mud Creek), so I fished 6-8ft all day on the edge of grass lines in cleaner water and only caught 3. I should have changed it up, but I didn't. I caught the first one quickly and my mind got stuck in that pattern even though it wasn't producing. I've got to be friendly with a guide down there. I talked to the guide that evening, and they fished 2-3ft up in the grass and muddy water right in Mud Creek (I saw his truck that day at the ramp) and caught 35! He sent me pictures.. it was ridiculous. I guess that's why he's a guide an I'm not!
