Gunbrokers - end of an era

Just received an email from Gunbrokers. Effective Jan 1 2021 they will start collecting sales tax based on where your purchase is shipped to. Not sure if the tax is just on new items or if it includes used purchases from individuals.
 
Should cover any sale. Had to contend with this when I built custom fishing rods. Collected federal, state and local taxes on the transaction.
 
You would think if I pay shipping and a transfer fee for an online purchase the price would be in the ball park, say $50-$75 +/-, of paying taxes and markup at a brick and morter store BUT the B&M gun shops around here try to run MSRP plus some. I understand the b&m store usually has more overhead but they usually sell a scope, mounts, case, sling, ammo, ect along with the actual firearm. Good customer service only goes so far when we start talking hundreds of dollars difference on the exact same gun.
