[QUOTE="CHRIS WILSON, post: 4510951, member: 2609"] The last few years have been busy enough with work and family that I've neglected getting out into the woods. Decided this year would be different and finally got out this morning with a buddy to hunt an area we scouted just a few weeks ago. I didn't even have a chance to get cold or uncomfortable in my seat before this fella came walking down the hill side headed towards the oak flat. 40 yard shot with a CVA Optiima V2 shooting 100 gr of BH209 with a Barnes 250 TEZ. He was slightly quartering towards me when he stopped. Hit him just in front of the forward shoulder and the base of the neck and it exited just behind the far shoulder through the rib cage. The shot anchored him right there. NIce Mid TN 8 point, field dressed at 148 pounds. Not a bad day to get back into the woods.
