[QUOTE="themanpcl, post: 5333927, member: 12032"] The script was read and followed for once. Got out of truck about 30 mins before light. Got ready. Listening. Gobbling on east side of property. Took about 10 mins to get to spot and set up cam and sit down. Chirped softly a couple of times. He answered. No hens heard at all so pretty sure he was going to be looking. About 15 mins later, he flys down into the open field beyond a rise about 100 yds away. I chirp again and he gobbled. I move the cam to where I expect him to come over the rise. About 5 mins later, he's making his way over the rise to me. He stops and gobbles. Never fanned up. When He closed to about 40 yds, the tree thats 10 ft in front of me is blocking my view. Not wanting to lean out and get busted, I wait for him to choose a side hoping he doesn't stay behind the tree and continue walking to me. The cam had a great view, I didn't..lol. He breaks to the left of the tree. I'm impatient. Probably should have let him come closer but.... Beard 10 1/2", Spurs 1", 46" long. Guessing he weighed 20# or so. Snow falling when I got back to the truck.
