Eating Alabama - A Story About Why Food Matters

For those near Nashville, with an interest in how food is grown and produced today, Eating Alabama will air on NPT tomorrow, Friday, July 11 at 7:00 pm. You can learn more about the film here:

I'm interested to see it because I like documentaries on this topic, and I'm intrigued by one that is filmed outside Berkeley, California or the North East.

Best Part - It started off with the film's director going on his first deer hunt in some pieced together, piece of junk box stand that appeared to be built on a car chassis cut in half and modified into a single axle trailer. Classic!

Worst Part - A whole lot of idealistic, romantic getting back to a simple, farm life. Very little solid information on the challenge, opportunities of growing your own food or small farming.
