Warning - Long, long post to include both parties posted version of events. It wouldn't let me make one post with both version of events so I'll make a separate post that includes Von Benedikt's version. Summary is this lady and her husband shot a muley in UT, shot 4 times and think they hit it twice. It was collared, so fairly uncommon. Range about 730 yds. Aram Von Benedikt, (a noted writer for Outdoor Life) also shoots at a muley in the same area from about 630 yds, says he hit it in the knee, supposedley did not notice any collar. The two parties start tracking, Von Benedikt goes ahead of the others, finds the deer first and puts two more shots in it to kill it. The buck was confirmed to be hit 4x, and had a collar. The two parties argue over who's deer it is, Von Benedikt ends up getting it. In the aftermath, he has been let go from Outdoor Life. I'll copy the two version of events below, first from the lady and 2nd from Von Benedikt. Has stirred up quite the storm on-line, and it appears that most are backing the lady. It also appears he has turned off comments for all his posts, at least on IG.
