I had to cross from miller's Island to the boat launch once with 2 running. It took me a half hour

I am surprised you didn't step in a dip and fill your waders and get swept down stream.

A boat! We ( 5 guys ) own this old girl

It can be really frustrating waiting for TVA to stop generating. I like above the weir dam in the winter when the water is off.

I'd DEFINITELY WOULD NOT wade that river while generation is on. Not only does the "smooth" water looks slow but it's not. That water is DOWN RIGHT FRIGID and will take your breath away if you slip and go in and with waders that's a very deadly combination.

I wasn't wearing waders (still dont on the clinch). I would never attempt it now, it was when I was 23 and stupid....and in a lot better shape

Looks like it's more of a recon trip, wife can hit an antique store, and stop at Clinch River Brewing for lunch.
I'm still bringing a flyrod but will try from dry ground. Don't need you guys posting that someone drowned on the Clinch. Need to get the kinks worked out.
