The chapter closed on a buck my wife and I had been after this season. It started last season when this buck repeatedly showed up on camera. He showed back up during the summer this year and we noticed that he didn't grow his right brow tine back and his right G3 had gotten shorter but he had gained a little more mass and height. My wife missed him a little over a week ago, in her defense we found out her scope was off, but the deer continued to hang around her field on camera. I had been hunting another area and yesterday this buck came out to my surprise and I texted her letting her know her buck was in front of me. She said shoot it so when he finally stopped at about 300 yards I shot. I did not make a good shot at all, pulling and hitting him really far back. I found blood for maybe five yards in the woods then nothing so I backed out and came back this morning and found him. He hadn't went that far but opposite of where I thought, I also believe he was still alive when I was looking for him last night. He was aged at 4.5. Thanks to my wifefor giving me the go ahead on him and keeping my blood pressure down till I went and found him.
