Loading the dehydrator with strawberries and bananas (yes, TX, I sliced them first, I'm not that ditzy).

Apples are next.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips on it.

Haven't had luck with nanners.

Thought they would turn out like store bought.

Turned out kinda rubbery and weird.

i tried bananas but they turned black  i read somewhere to coat them with lemon juice before dehydrating but ive not tried it yet.
A light coating of lemon juice will keep them their natural color, but they aren't bad if they go brown in the dehydrator. They just aren't as pretty.

I'm pretty sure them ones in the stores are fried in coconut oil.

Farmin68, I believe I would've sliced them first. But that's just me!

One of my favorites is a mix of bell pepper, jalepeno, and maters dehydrated as a snack.

I also like okry dehydrated when I'm craving something crunchy and don't want to eat three bags of tater chips.

Take an apple, some strawberries and some grapes and throw them in a blender and then pour into the solid tray that comes with most dehydrater and you have great fruit rollups--actually it is more like a piece of leather. I also do just apples blended with a small amount of brown sugar and cinnamon and that is my kid's favorite.
