Aging mistake? and recent bucks

My brother had this deer at 25 yards with a bow after KY gun season. Let him go bc he thought he was 2.5. We now think 3.5...what do you think?

Here is a really nice 8 point that made it through season...no confirmed sightings of him, but he is the only buck on camera we haven't had a chance to kill this year.

Lots of neck and thicker body trunk. Could be 3 1/2 but that's one of those "tweeners."

Maybe a tweener...he dwarfs out smaller 2.5s. Ohh well, guess he will be better next year and seeing deer after gun season in KY is encouraging for the pressure and management of the property.

Close enough to 3 1/2 for me to shoot. But then again, I have passed up a buck I have been after all season, to only see him the last weekend of the season in person and pass on him because his rack was much smaller than pics showed :crazy:

i say 3.5. that was sorta at the end of the rut in ky and hes probably pretty run down and to still have that big of a body hes gotta be 3.5
