What 1911's have the highest round counts in 9mm and 45 that one would recommend for an everyday carry. I carry IWB so something comfortable

I had two Colt Defenders in 45. Foolishly, I let other people shoot them and they offered more than I paid. I wish I still had them.

Oh by the way, never had a malfunction with any Colt. They've always ran 💯 right out of the box. I've had several from 3-5"

I know it's way off topic in this case, but I highly recommend them.

1911's less than 5" have a reputation for having problems. That will be argued to death, you just must do your research.

I have had many 1911's and own two currently. I wouldn't want a 1911 for daily carry, I have better options when it comes to round count. The 5" make great range toys. An extra inch or two of barrel length on a 1911 has very little impact on carry, I'd stick with the full size. But that's just my opinion from someone that has carried a 1911 in the past.
