[QUOTE="TCounty Hunter, post: 4982017, member: 3436"] 2020 has been a year; for us all. Part of mine on top of everything else was losing our hunting lease of 12 years, which had several nice enclosed blinds we built. So this year we had to start over. A lot of blood, sweat, hours and tears and a 2 acre food plot was formed. A new blind was built and is only 2 1/2 weeks old. After about 7 days of hunting mornings and evenings and seeing a few doe's, we were getting discouraged. Today things finally kicked in and had this 8 pt came out of nowhere with his hair on fire. Had to wake the boy up (as usual) while opening the window, trying to get the buck to stop, grabbing the gun haha.. Happened quick. He was trotting to the woods 5o yards away and I hollered at him till he stopped and he handled the rest. Perfect shot, 20 yards and dropped. 10 minutes later a 6 pt came hauling into the plot from the same trail. First bucks we have seen in daylight in this spot. Appears to be heating up in our area.
