Mock scrapes

I love making mock scrapes. Usually I start around mid oct but the weather we've had got me in the mood to make them early. I made this one Sunday morning after my hunt. There has always been a community scrape below this low hanging limb in the field. The past 2 years I have started it early for them. Not sure if it gets hit so much because it's right by my salt lick or what but this is the best scrape on my place for the past decade or so.

However, and I may just be imagining this (but I doubt it), as I've aged, the technique isn't working as well for me. I strongly suspect that the testosterone levels in my urine aren't what they used to be.

I love mock scrapes. But I usually don't turn the camera on until after I've peed in it

Need to borrow my 16yr old son? He seems to have testosterone pouring out his ears. It sure pours out of his mouth!

I'm usually nervous about peeing in them and scaring bucks off. Once I pee in them they know a stud buck is in the area!

Did that on purpose. Guy I know from Arkansas has never believed that I do it and actually works. Finally got a pic to prove him wrong

Unfortunately, over the years, I've gotten many, many pictures of myself peeing in scrapes. I try to delete those before saving the pics to my computer!
