Close friend of mine fished nickajack Lake today and caught a good mess but besides that he caught a 15.5 inch 2lb 1oz yellow perch that came 1oz of tying the state record at 2.2 and 2oz of beating it. All of us here catch alot of good fish in our lives but it would be a letdown to get so close but be shy to have your name in the books. This is a monster yellow perch. Either way congrats on a great catch.

Nice!

Guess they haven't finished spawning yet...

Don't know. I'm a crappie fishermen.
There is a lake in ducktown that you can catch em by the hundreds. But it's about an hour and 15 just to get there. Maybe I would have the time in about 25 more years when I retire. It really is the best spot I've ever seen to catch perch. This is a pic from last week another buddy loaded em up.

I can give you all directions to the lake. Enough details you get tired of catching them if you want. I just ain't got time and prefer crappie over perch.

I forgot it's in your backyard. Have you not been up to tumbling Creek?
