I bought the same gun last year in 7mm-08 stainless (Storm series) and absolutely nothing was torqued correctly with the base and rings. Some of the screws were barely finger tight.

I had a friend purchase a used SBE2 that did the same thing. He sent back to Benelli and they cut the barrel back about an inch and a half and re-threaded the barrel. The barrel had expanded possibly due to using too tight a choke with steel shot, or that was their theory.

I have a Savage 110 scout rifle with a 2.75x Burris scope, and I shoot Winchester Deer Season XP ammo. The rifle has a muzzle brake and other than being loud is a pleasure to shoot. I agree with Dennis on meat damage, but it is a good all around round, well suited for short barreled rifles.
