I’ve never had any caps with that flared bottom, but unless the nipple has been replaced it should use #11 caps. Caps are cheap, so if nothing else he could just buy some and try them. If you’re going to be stupid, you’d better be tough!

I’ll say this for it. I had one in an Encore and it killed them just as dead as the 300WM. Rounds were cheaper and it wasn’t nearly as punishing to shoot. If you’re going to be stupid, you’d better be tough!

I always wondered about glare from the sun. They’re just a big mirror, so I’d think placement related to sun position would be very important. Never bought one to try it though. If you’re going to be stupid, you’d better be tough!
