    Gardens, let's see em

Thank you. It’s new to me this year….had to relocate from other side of house, finally got to build it like I’ve always wanted to. Really enjoy a pretty place to de-stress.

    Best deer defense?

This fall I had to relocate 8 box gardens from the front of my house (high traffic and visibility) to the back of my house, adjacent to my pasture. We do get the occasional deer in the pasture at night, there are no woods near me. However the nocturnal deer have found my new box gardens, and...

    Sustinence trout fishing

I’ve fished back country up there quite a bit, trout and dollies and grayling will eat anything and everything they see that time of year. They are not picky or finicky in the slightest. I’d stick with the rapalas and a few in-line spinner baits mentioned above. You prob won’t find many...

    Ok saltwater guys

Under the broiler with light olive oil and generous oregano. Flip when top starts to brown. Put very thin slab of sweet onion, bell pepper and tomato on top. Broil some more. Top with provolone cheese when it looks done, let cheese melt to a bubble. Serve over angel hair pasta.

Dug ditch, put potato in, covered with 4” soil and some composted straw. When the leaves pole thru straw...

Harriest predicament you've ever found yourself in while in the woods?

Maybe not the scariest experience, or even on a hunting trip, but is the most bizarre injury I’ve ever received, happened while fishing with my son in Alaska, along the kanektok river, in the togiak National preserve. We were walking along the bank of the river, I was 30-40 yards ahead of him...
