    Set my first traps

Purrfect on the end of a duck wing hanging on the transition edge of a briar thicket or push pile is automatic on an bobcat. They can’t take it.

Late season cockleburs in the Duck Hole

I’m not versed on what would be safe to spray in or on the water. I’m sure some some chemicals are labeled for it. It would be very simple to spray it over water or anything. Maps for the sprayer are pulled off of google earth and downloaded. You then lay out your boundaries and load it...

Late season cockleburs in the Duck Hole

Local farmer and customer of mine had this one. $20 bucks an acre to spray and I provided the chemical. He can also fly on cover crops which would be amazing flying millet into mudflats. There are several guys doing this commercially in middle and west TN and I would say rates will stay...

    Food Plots Plant or Wait

Already a few small pockets of army worms here in southern Montgomery co. Good news is there is still a lot of green forage out there right now so maybe they will leave the fall plots alone.

Late season cockleburs in the Duck Hole

You won’t have a bit of trouble mastering it. Once you set the boundary its autopilot from there. Did y’all plant a lot of millet this year. We run more millet than we ever have and cut back on corn.

    Planting after mulching

I definitely agree with the disking . It will greatly speed up the decomposition process. Heavy bog disk is best. If you have access to it 3 tons of chicken litter per acre and you will have a mighty fine crop in a year along with a couple tons of lime.

Late season cockleburs in the Duck Hole

Just got a dose of 2-4-D. Maybe they won’t get down my collar every time I hunt now.

    Sled blind finished

Popcorn For shallow water small spots we have a 14” water sled and a 20” water sled. Can shoot 4 or 5 in a pinch and drag them in with a gator. Fab shop outside of Guthrie makes them for me. Let me know if you need their contact since you are close by. Good to be mobile when needed.

    Food Plots Egyptian Wheat

Gator is 78” tall and the Egyptian wheat is a couple feet taller. Planted 6/3 and taller than the corn as well. I have been impressed.

    Food Plots Egyptian Wheat

Annual Starting to show a little rust on it too after all the rain this year so if you plant it in the same place year after year you may need to spray with some fungicide or just rotate the ground you plant it on.

    Food Plots Egyptian Wheat

10-15lbs per acre seeding rate. Takes 100 days to mature so needs to be planted early. It does not spread. Will only grow where you planted. Very similar to sorghum Sudan or green graze except it has a bigger stem and they say it will have more seed in the head.

Dickson Co-op. They had to order it. I think it was $80 ish for a 50lb bag. I have been highly impressed with it. I’ll try to get some pics of it posted soon.

    Food Plots Egyptian Wheat

I planted some Egyptian Wheat where we duck hunt bordering the corn on June 3 and was in it yesterday and it is over 6’ 3” tall. I was blown away by how thick and tall it was.

    Finding dove shoots?

What is the going rate for a pay hunt. I heard of a $300 per gun hunt last year on a sunflower field down in Lincoln Co. I did not know if that’s is high or low.
