Doe with spotted fawn on April 12 ?

I saw the exact same thing today. 2 fawns that weighed probably less than 30lbs. Neither had any spots but, looked like a fawn you’d see in August, just out of spots. I can’t figure if they were real early or real late.

    Getting right

I went to my farm today at about 11am. I heard one gobble 3-4 times where I was gonna go, I sat down and slow called and he never answered me back so I’m betting he was still henned up. I moved to try him from a different angle and ended up running a bunch of deer right through where he was. I...

    So much fun!

If any of y’all in range of Clinton want to have a similar experience then hit the Clinch River from 2nd Baptist church to the Anderson County jail. There are millions there now. Good luck!!

    Odd crappie trip….

How deep is your brush? The reason I ask is, the adolescent males will come up before the even the adult males and especially females. The bigger ones might be deeper.

These apparently beat a scarecrow any day

The wind blew this mess around like someone waving a purple and white shiny flag. It caught my eye from 300yds away, I picked up my binoculars and confirmed it wasn’t a trespasser. I realized why the turkeys have been avoiding that area for the past few days. It gives me an idea of how to make...

    Flock breakup yesterday

Well I was happy too soon. I came around the curve at my farm and saw a gobbler flopping out in my pasture. I then noticed a car with a man hastily getting back in. They sped by me and I was able to get their tag number. I called TWRA dispatch and gave them all of the info. I’m not expecting...

    Flock breakup yesterday

The turkeys literally just moved back onto my land after being in the corn field bottoms the past few months. I have a couple strutters and some hens on camera that wasn’t here before today. They are apparently on the move spreading out.

    Gerald Swindle

Contrary to most I am firmly in the middle. I believe it's a great tool, so is my mapping software, side scan and sonar. My son and I use live scope after we've either found cover and/or a group of fish with sonar or side scan. We then use the forward facing to line up the cast and How deep...

Is it common to hunt turkeys from a stand?

Here’s my experience with turkeys while in a tree stand. I’ve had multiple hens and poults walk directly under me during deer season when I wasn’t calling. One year I was hunting a turkey roosting area for deer and decided to call sporadically to pass the time but more to see if deer would be...

The bell curve of turkey breeding

Saw a hen on 11 eggs April 9 last year. I think they breed earlier than most of us think. At least it’s earlier than I thought! Lol
