Those are sometimes referred to as the "Classic" series and may have that indication roll stamped on the barrel. Nice guns and smoother moving parts than the pre-64. I've had a few pre-64s in .270 and .30-06. It's more nostalgia for me than anything.

Nice little rifle and good blueing job on those models. Actions are always slick.

We've seen this several times over the years in one particular spot. It seems if we kill a buck down in the valley field he gets spotted by bucks cruising the ridge above.

I'm thinking Rem Model 7 with a proof barrel. Nice looking rig for sure.
