Turkey and deer together

I can't seem to spook the turkeys during deer gun/mz season. I've had them right on me while at the base of a tree and wearing my orange vest and moving to use my binos to look at deer. Never spook or putt. But while archery hunting in camo and up a tree it seemed the slightest movement spooked them. CRAZY......

Probably because they cannot see as far that early in the fall, thanks to all the green vegetation. Have to be cagey.

A few years ago I had a small 7 point "cactus buck" that I saw three years in a row...every time I saw him he was wandering around with a small flock of turkeys....that was weird.

I vowed to kill him when I was positive he was over 4 years old but, as you might imagine, I never saw him again.

My first crossbow kill was me sitting on the ground against a large tree when a flock of Turkey started toward me. About 50yards out a nice doe started working her way through the Turkey straight toward me. About 20 yards out she turned right giving me a perfect shot. Dropped in 15 yards and it looked like blood was poured out with a bucket! Easiest track ever.

Didn't want to hijack the cattle and deer thread, but turkeys are about the only thing that I've seen mix with deer. It seems they both don't mind being around each other one bit. Numerous times I've had both feeding and walking around within feet of each other.
You called it...I got lucky and saw it this morning! Enjoy the videos:
