True about Turkey. And they are imported by one company that works out of Knoxville. They are outstanding pistols. Read some of the reviews.

I actually have read several reviews and I wouldn't hesitate to use one when finances allow. Just a little bit too light in the wallet right now. I have several brands of semiauto shotguns that were actually made in Turkey. I guess I've been lucky as I haven't had a single malfunction with any of them.

I envy your upcoming move. When I was getting ready to reenlist the first time, in 1983, I wanted to either remain in Hawaii or go to Alaska. My wife, at that time, wanted to move closer to East Tennessee. I probably don't have to tell you who won that battle. lol

I have the Tisas 1911 Raider in 9mm and it has been an excellent pistol. Snowwolfe has his Tisas priced very well. That is about $100 below dealer price.
