pic was the first week of january, i'm guessing 4.5+ with the body size,looks pretty good shape for time of year,be a good one to look for come fall

Tend to agree on age. His rear end looks awful scrawny to me. Maybe your right and it's just the time of year

Just hard to say (at least for me), at least via this one pic.
Don't doubt he could be 4 1/2 or older.
But I'd had to say 3 1/2 or older.

(High conviction on the 3 1/2; not as much on the 4 1/2.)

IF he is 'in good shape for time of year' he is 3.5

To me he looks like a 4.5yo that has lost 50lbs over the course of the breeding season.... except his front legs are awfully long for a 4.5yo.

So... coinflip between 3.5 and 4.5 IMO
