Here Is a link to an interesting study from the DNR of SC. Thought y'all might find it interesting.
They are probably hunting fields and food plots. These are easy to get 100 yard plus shots.Very good study, although in all my years of hunting wooded terrain, I've only shot one deer at 120 yards, and that was in a clear cut. Shots rarely exceed 50 yards. they must have had very open terrain to come up with an average shot distance for 490+ deer to be 130 or so yards.
