I really don't think so, otherwise it would have broken out in the release area. To my knowledge, they were not introduced into the current CWD zones.

This. The herd TNs elk came from had a long, CWD free history before they were brought here.

I seen they got them from Alberta or somewhere and brought them in 2000. Just didn't know where they were released.

I'm thinking most originally came from Elk Island in Canada.
Some of the East TN elk were relocated from LBL.
