...the Magnum Research BFR? Just curious as I never hear of anyone using them.
I got one several years ago in a trade. It was brand new...never fired. It was the 45lc/410 model. Kinda like a Taurus judge on steroids... šŸ˜‚. It even had choke tubes for when shooting 410 in it. I traded it to a THP officer without ever shooting it. I sometimes wonder what it was like to shoot it. It weighed like 5 pounds....I used to say it had comic book proportions....crazy huge... šŸ˜‚
Just curious if you had any real world experience with them?
Thanks

Don't mean to interfere as you directed this question to Kimber, so feel free to ignore my opinion.
Currently own four:
Two 500 JRH's
One 475 Linebaugh
One 45-70 on order
Most likely I'll add a 30-30 later this year.
Built like a tank, every bit as accurate as a Freedom Arms at roughly 40% of the price. Like a Ruger on steroids with a much better trigger pull. The quality control is much better than Rugers. They come with a scope mount as well. And you can choose either a Bisley or plow handle style grip.

It hurts like hell to shoot, but is fun

Finally picked this 45-70 up yesterday. Looks like BFR is back to their old tricks. The barrel is supposed to be 7.5 inches. It actually measures 8 inches from the front of the cylinder. Trigger is a disappointment and has a fair amount of creep. At some point later this year will send it back to MR and have a wide spur hammer installed as well as a trigger job. Should be good for a squirrel gun:)
