Can you believe baseball season started today?
Vols drop game 1 to Arizona 3-1. Watched most of it. Very blah game. Flat all around. Think we had 3 starters out and Frank Anderson too.
Grand Canyon tomorrow & UC San Diego on Sunday. You can stream it for free on the MLB network app.

Vols didn't look good for opening day. Competition will be strong from GCU & UC SD.

What was up with Tony V's black eye?

Vols not looking strong 1.5 innings into game 2 of season.

GCU stadium is nice but it seems dark in the outfield. you can barley see the Vol fielders going after fly ball.

This team is not going to hit 5 hrs every game like last year, which is too bad. That was fun. Infield should be solid. Starting pitching should be outstanding. Best in the country. They have to find a catcher. Taylor is a good backup, but you have to have some offensive production from your catcher. Vitello said he was going to play a buck of players early in the season to let of and catcher positions sort themselves out.
Also missing Griffin and Ahuna these first 2 games.
This teams season could have a trajectory like Ole Miss had last year. No predicting a world series title, just saying they start slow and just keep getting better and better.

Didn't see a pitch last night but recaps and reports don't sound good. Hope to catch todays.
Totally different team from last year and they need to figure out their identity. I think Tony V will help them facilitate that and it's one of his best attributes as a coach.
