Anyone.... Federal Premium...Primers...Heard...???

Anyone here heard this???....

Federal to stop makeing there Premium Ammo Line,Rifle, and Primers to Reloaders over the next two years due to a NEW Military Ammo Contract??

Went to the gun show today and was told the above,(Ammo Part),and then stopped in at a local gun shop and was re-told about the ammo and also about the Primers.

This was/is apparenatly a farily recent deal that came out over the past couple of weeks.


Anybody got any Facts on this???

If its true...and nothing surprises me anymore with ammo companies, it sucks. For the nonreloader they are the best gig in town for ammo with premium bullets.

I had heard something about the military having a standing order with most ammo companys for .223 ammo,but nothing else. That would be pretty bad for me and my .338 Fed.

I sure am glad I just picked up a 1000 Gold Medal Match Primers.... Guess I may want to get some more and vacuum pack them...

I stocked up when they became available after the last primer shortage. I believe I have the equivilent of 5 cases of primers. Definately stock up.
