Here goes 3 crappie. Now I need to catch some more slabs. I love that beer battered crappie and so does my family. 😋

agree 100 percent- definitely time. recipe please!
Simple:
McCormick beer batter mix (it doesn't have msg), 1 egg per cup of mix, a dash of Tony's creole, and beer until smooth but slightly thick. 3 slab crappie fillets cut into three pieces per side. Put all the pieces in the mix. Pull one out at a time, make sure it's covered, roll in Panko bread crumbs and drop in hot oil at 375 degrees. Outstanding. My grand kids stand where I cook and eat them as fast as they can.
