1-9 vs 1-8 twist?
Want to push to maximum villosity of each bullet type.Depending on your intended purpose, check out this thread:
Switching factory to reloads 223?
Been puttering with a .223/556 for a friend. Upgraded trigger. Swapped barrel. So if it starts shooting the bulk .55gr green tip ammo decent, I will want to work up a load for varmint hunting. Here is my question. If you have a factory load that shoots decent, should you stick to that...www.tndeer.com
So, an 8-twist able to shoot 40 gr. bullets to maximum velocities, stablelise bullet without bullet separation? This is in a bolt action
I have no problem with Nosler 40 grain staying together at max velocity with Benchmark, the 40 grain Hornady came apart at max velocity with Benchmark. Tikka 1-8 it amazed me at how well it shot with the 8 twist. So, an 8-twist able to shoot 40 gr. bullets to maximum velocities, stablelise bullet without bullet separation? This is in a bolt action
I personally wouldn't shoot 40s. I'd be in 69-77 rangeSo, an 8-twist able to shoot 40 gr. bullets to maximum velocities, stablelise bullet without bullet separation? This is in a bolt action
