But it has been an active day. And pretty much the whole last week
I cant make myself go untilJust wait a few weeks and they won't have velvet anymore
Couldn't agree more. Cool to see but hard antlered is better to meI am not into velvet bucks at all either. To me harvesting a velvet Buck is like eating a green banana. Just wasn't ready. Or taking something out of the oven too quick it isn't done.
AbsolutelyCouldn't agree more. Cool to see but hard antlered is better to me
Ditto. No interest in killing a buck in velvet. But to each, their own.Couldn't agree more. Cool to see but hard antlered is better to me
I would shoot that big 6 in a heartbeat!Best i can tell, 5 different mature (maturish on some) bucks have hit these salt lick this week and some have pretty much stayed including the big wide scrub 6
Absolutely! Love seeing velvet bucks.Hard antler with shreds of bark hanging off of them is my preference. I like to see them though. Still gets me excited
He is the only one of thesei would consider. This is not historical bucks , just a pocket of new deer using the back of a a property on the wdge of my farmI would shoot that big 6 in a heartbeat!
yes. It appears to be scorcher. Which is bad for the squirrel huntersI like the looks of velvet racks, a skinny neck may make the rack that much more impressive looking. That said, I really don't tolerate heat well. So it looks like I will be missing yet another Tennessee velvet hunt, as temps are supposed to be quite warm.
