This is nothing but a concept validation. The cost to "print" with a device like that is still much higher than buying one new. That, and there's no material strength in the 3d printer material. It's neat to think about right now, but I wouldn't stake my life on one.

Video is anti gun propaganda for the "0".

"untraceable firearms"
"no one envisioned these printers would be used for building weapons that kill people"

BUNCH OF CRAP! The left in this country is so scared that they can't control EVERYTHING that they deem as spooky and dangerous.

Actually, from what I understand of the company doing this, they are against all firearms and magazine bans. They are trying to prove that, even if you ban all guns, there are still ways to circumvent laws and people can still get them. Also, I understand that they have "printed" a lower that has been mated to an upper and tested, and it withstood several hundred rounds.

They have one 3D design with over 1000 rounds through it and no failure yet. Initially they had cracking isues. The cost of the machines and the materials is coming down fast as well.

I think it a serious sign of whats going to be possibale in years to come, with time printers, materials & design will improve, but on the down side thers way to many people who dont need a instant AR15.

Do wish I was smart enuff to understand how the "printer" actually works.
