I have an itch for a .223 AI, but have no experience with killing deer with the 2 calibers you mentioned.

My wife's old 22-250 was wicked bad with 55gr. hollow points tho.

Each has it's place.
They're both pretty close out to 250-300yds passed that the 22-250 takes the lead. But without a steady rest I ain't tryin anything that far so 223 gets my vote.
