We got my new 4x6 shoot house elevated and secured this morn, trimmed all the hackberries to open up additional space to be able to cover and shoot. Its airtight, and anchored to the ground at each leg with a 3ft Tpost sunk and screwed into the 4x4s, then a 6in fence post sunk 5ft deep, secured with quickcrete, then chains from each corner down to the fencepost and tightened with a turnbuckle.

We used to have a stand here back in the 80s and early 90s, and its a proven producer... right where a 20ac field meets two 40 acre fields. You can cover about 70 acres total from this one spot.

That looks great! Sounds like you have it anchored down real good.

I'm working on a 6x6 right now myself. With the price of lumber, I had a bunch of 2x4's from where I demoed some old walls. It takes a while to pull out all of the nails and rip the 2x4's into 2x2's for the framing. I'm hoping to get mine out this coming weekend.

Hey Mega!

Did something similar to yours, except with a pop up blind on top.

I ordered the webbing camo material from Amazon. About $25 for a 60 foot roll.

We wrapped the blind and then pushed brush and sticks into the webbing.

Not sure what the impact will be to deer, but it certainly is harder to see to human eyes.

If you can't figure out how to get your blind sideways like this one, let me know and I'll give you some build tips.

Nice Mega! You could have just bought a new redneck blind like all the other Megas, but you decided to build your own. Outstanding!
