This is the 3rd year I've seen this doe from behind my house. Every year after fawning season, her milk sack area becomes very enlarged and sags. By mid/late Oct its gone back to normal. I've never seen with a fawn over the time with her either. I wonder if she gives birth then because of issues, she's not able to feed them resulting in fawn(s) dying.
