clearing some land for bigger plot with dozer, any recomendations on something to scatter this time of year

With the current temperatures nothing is going to germinate till mid March or early April. If you want clover on that ground, between now and early March would be a great time to broadcast clover blends. Planting cereal grains right now would be a waste of time and money. Erosion concerns should be addressed with straw for now.

I always throw wheat down for a ground cover.cheap and will hold soil down during those early spring deluges
