I found this thing in my garden. I have no idea what it is. it seems like a rock or piece of carbon or something. it is broken up, but there are portions that are smooth and has some green sediment on it. here are the pictures.
what is this??

I guess i should mention on the end (left side as you look at the pic) it is flat and the smooth portion in the last picture appears to be machined at the end.

Could be a flint chisel ?
mine isn't flat it is round.
it is made of rock? how would it be the bit end of a drill?
